Drawing on the adage "can there ever be too much beauty?" Clover Canyon presented an Autumn/Winter 2013 collection overflowing with unique exquisiteness. Choosing to pay homage to the lavish excess and opulence of Russian aesthetics, their presentation overflowed with loveliness.
The buzz leading up to the Falguni and Shane Peacock AW13 show was a clear indication that something exciting was about to take place. Once the first look hit the runway it was apparent what all the fuss was about.
Without a doubt the Alice & Olivia presentation was one of my favourites from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collections. Perfectly set in the Highline Stages, Chelsea the room was transformed into a scene of the most decadent nature one would expect to experience in a mansion or stately home....

This spring the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute will play host to a unique, celebration of creativity and talent. The Exhibition entitled “Savage Beauty” consists of over 100 pieces from all of the late, great, Alexander McQueen’s collections from Nihilism (1994), to Angels & Demons collection (2010). This exhibition will provide the opportunity to enjoy the work of Alexander McQueen, who was not only a talented fashion designer but a revolutionary artist. The way, in which he conveyed various expressions and emotions, bringing Fashion to life sets him apart as one of the top designers of his generation. It is exciting to see that the intricate detail, exquisite fabrics and luxurious creativity witnessed in each collection lives on even after his unfortunate passing. The preview of the collection was held yesterday at the Ritz, which provide the perfect setting as this was the venue for Alexander McQueen’s first post graduate show, and was attended by Anna Wintour, Samantha Cameron and Stella McCartney. The full exhibition is set to be launched on May 2nd at the Met ball and will run May 4th until July 31 in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Hall, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen […]
>Label: AshishDate: 21st September 2010Images: Darrel HunterAs I sat in the front row waiting for the Ashish SS11 show to start I was quite anxious to see which direction the designs would take this season. My excitement and anticipation were reward when the show opened and I started to see the various pieces gliding along the runway.Who else could do the Wild West in sequins and pull it off?? The Cowboy and Indians themed Ashsih show was a creative and illustrious affair. There were sequinned leopard and paisley print dresses, accompanied by cowboy boots painted with different western images. Feathered head pieces as well as arrows and cowboy hats were also present to accompany cow prints and fringed trousers. I also had another chance to see one of my favourite models, Rahma M, walk in the show. Below are some of my images from the show.Rahma M
