"The launch of our first in-house movement is perhaps the most important development for a British watch brand for 50 years!" - Chris Ward
The ever-expanding world of Orobianco now has a new home. Set optimally just a stone throw away from the majestic Duomo, Orobianco opened their very first store in Italy.
When it comes to luggage crafted using cutting edge technology, coupled with luxury, Orobianco definitely have the edge.
Drawing on the adage "can there ever be too much beauty?" Clover Canyon presented an Autumn/Winter 2013 collection overflowing with unique exquisiteness. Choosing to pay homage to the lavish excess and opulence of Russian aesthetics, their presentation overflowed with loveliness.
Without a doubt the Alice & Olivia presentation was one of my favourites from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collections. Perfectly set in the Highline Stages, Chelsea the room was transformed into a scene of the most decadent nature one would expect to experience in a mansion or stately home....
Santandrea quite simply represents elegance and quality all the way through the entire collection in each garment. Not just quality, but timeless quality that boasts character and individuality. Founded in 1968 Santandrea has established itself as a premier suit maker over the last forty years, due to their high-class handmade garments.
I was very honoured to be invited to and attend the Emmy Collins showroom launch hosted by Brian Friedman. Ever since I was introduced to Emmy Collins I have always been a big fan of his work. I was fortunate enough to shoot his SS09 collection and was impressed by his vision and attitude towards fashion. Never one to conform or follow trends his cutting edged designs are perfect for those with individual daring style. His unique pieces make him a firm favourite among the fashion elite. Fashion TV, OK TV and several other media representitives were on hand to document this intimate and well hosted launch. Champagne flowed freely as well as the admiration for the SS11 collection that was on display. One of my fashion favourites, the charismatic Janice Dickinson, came through to show her support. The talented Nate James was also in attendance along with many other celebrities and well wishers. I thoroughly enjoyed the night and was very proud to see Emmy's talent and hard work paying off. >I hadn't really kept up to date with Benetton and Sisley since being in college so I was quite excited when I received the invite by the lovely press team to view their Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It was a cold, wet November afternoon when I arrived at the Benetton press office in central London but upon my arrival all thoughts of the cold and rain were forgotten. The warm welcome and bright display was enough to banish all thoughts of the dreary day.The first thing that caught my attention was the creative display of gorgeous cup cakes and various beverages, which I managed to resist for most of the afternoon. The press office had been transformed into a radiant Spring Summer clothing oasis. The collection had a youthful, light feel. There were various shorts and tops in the ladies collection that caught my eye and floral prints encapsulated the carefree nature of spring. I hadn't in the past really associated Benetton with footwear but I was also very impressed with the shoe selection.I was also inspired by the menswear selection and found myself picking out quite a few pieces to add to my wardrobe. The detail on the shorts and jackets were eye catching and well designed. I have to say a special thanks to the ladies at Benetton UK PR for a lovely afternoon and for presenting such a cheering collection.
Over this weekend (August 13th-15th) I have the privilege to attend the first Vintage festival at Goodwood. This is a weekend dedicated not only to the love of music but also to the love of all things vintage spanning five decades (1940's to 1980's). This fantastic event held in Sussex is the idea of Gerardine Hemingway MBE and Wayne Hemingway MB and brought to life by a talented, dedicated team of creative individuals.| For most people attending this festival, Vintage isn't just a passing fad but a way of life. The way they dress, their lifestyle and even in some cases the way they dress their children all pay homage to past eras. For me the chance to spend the weekend listening to a variety of fantastic artists, surrounded by classic cars and elegant fashion, all shared by people with similar affection for the past is a beautiful thing. Not to mention the vintage clothes and other items that will be on sale, this weekend. For me this is also an opportunity to see directly how heavily the past has influenced modern day fashion trends. Over the coming week I will be posting images from the weekend for you to enjoy for those of you who can't make it. To find out more go to: http://www.vintageatgoodwood.com/home.aspx
